To my daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, who I love more than they know. It is my hope they someday will read this book when aged enough by human experiences hence mildly or gravely despondent over the human yet quite inhumane experiments, that is, the political and social monstrosities called Government.

To the following (incomplete list of) influences, who in various decrees marginally or largely shifted my ideological thus moral paradigm(s), facilitating and fostering the conclusions in this book. Consequently in somewhat chronological order; the Taoist and Greek writers, the Apostles and their Gospels and Epistles, the Early Church writers, the theologians and economists of the School of Salamanca, Roger Williams (his book The Bloudy Tenent of Persecution for Cause of Conscience), John Locke, Richard Cantillon, John Stuart Mill, Anne Robert Jacques Turgot, Jean-Baptiste Say, Claude-Frédéric Bastiat (of course the essay The Law as well his complete works), Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton (his article No. 84 only) thus the Federalist Papers, then the arguably preferred Anti-Federalist Papers therefore contributors, Patrick Henry (his fiery speech at the Virginia Ratifying Convention), writers and orators like Ohiyesa (Charles Eastman) as well chiefs Red Jacket, Joseph, Luther Standing Bear, Seattle and others (as compiled by numerous historians), Henry David Thoreau, Lysander Spooner, Mark Twain (his short story/prose War Prayer) and the American Anti-Imperialist League, Carl Menger, Eugen Böhm von Bawerk, Ludwig von Mises (particularly his books Liberalism and Human Action), F.A. BILL of RIGHT (singular) by The RESCISSIONIST aka D.C. Quillan Stone

 BILL of RIGHT

If such understanding forms and foments, then solely amid ceaseless study, ponder and labor, concluding first in part, later in whole, to logically respect then ethically regard, hence fervently declaring then firmly establishing in this manner.

The propensity, preference and persistence upon observable practice by Each and Every Individual since first reasoned the Specie Human and Peculiar above all other species, thus consistently inclining, constantly insisting the Singular Right to Consent or Dissent regarding Each and Every Matter, indeed without exception as exemplified per unwanted prevention, unacceptable prohibition, undesirable preemption, unwelcomed intervention, unwarranted retroaction by persons ever covetous as well parties ever contemptuous whether private, religious, philosophical, economical, social, political, governmental and more.

My own paraphrase of St. Matthew chapter 25 (may God forgive me)...

An alternative consideration for this 4th of July; my own paraphrase of St. Matthew chapter 25 (may God forgive me)...

When the Lord comes and all the holy angels with him, then shall He sit upon the throne of glory, He shall judge both the great and small, each according to their deeds. And before the Lord shall be gathered every tribe, nation, empire, as well United States rightly last for priding herself as first.

Alas the Lord shall open the books the final time, recorded therein shall be every thought and every act committed against the Creator of heaven as well his creation on earth. Like thunder He shall declare His word. Like lightning He shall cast His gaze. Then shall He judge the multitudes from all tribes, nations, empires, then will come the multitude rightly last for priding herself as first, and the Lord shall say, "You falsely accused me and spied on me, you jailed me then tortured me, shot me, bombed me, droned me while starving me, robbing me, raping me, killing my children, slaughtering my cattle, burning my fields as well destroying my home, my marketplace, my school, my house of prayer, my workplace therefore my people. You did these blasphemous things aggressively without cause, relentessly without mercy, covetously disregarding and inhumanely disrespecting each and every person and their privacy, preference, possession and property."

Then the multitude, rightly last for priding herself as first, will cry out in a single loud voice, "O Lord of All! When did we falsely accuse you and spy on you, jail you then torture you, shoot you, bomb you, drone you while starving you, robbing you, raping you, killing your children, slaughtering your cattle, burning your fields as well destroying your home, your marketplace, your school, your house of prayer, your workplace therefore your people?" And the multitude will wail then gnash their teeth, crying out again, "O Lord of Hosts, we beseech you! When did we do these blasphemous things aggressively without cause, relentlessly without mercy, covetously disregarding and inhumanely disrespecting each and every person and their privacy, preference, possession and property?"

Behold the multitude, rightly last for priding herself as first, will fall mute and prostrate by the heaviness of fear, and the Lord of All shall answer as a roar of rushing waters, "Verily I say unto you. Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least among those created in our image, you have done it unto me." And suddenly, there shall be a great silence...

The dead should not rule the living.

"And yet we have what purports, or professes, or is claimed, to be a contract—the Constitution—made eighty years ago, by men who are now all dead, and who never had any power to bind us, but which (it is claimed) has nevertheless bound three generations of men, consisting of many millions, and which (it is claimed) will be binding upon all the millions that are to come; but which nobody ever signed, sealed, delivered, witnessed, or acknowledged; and which few persons, compared with the whole number that are claimed to be bound by it, have ever read, or even seen, or ever will read, or see."

Lysander Spooner (1808-1887)

It is interesting how conditioned, propagandized we've become, no longer such concepts are discussed beyond few classrooms glossing over it. The ethical dilemma raised by Spooner is as monumental as it is marginalized or completely unattended. Thomas Jefferson stated similarly and quite wisely, "The dead should not rule the living." although in contrast he egregiously supported a flawed constitution, expanding government powers into perpetuity, powers he later used and abused to unilaterally broaden executive limits (i.e. Louisiana Purchase).

Why do we allow dead legislators, and the laws they imposed 50, 100, even 200 years ago, to continue ruling us from their graves. Certainly without reconvening for any sort of confirmation, we do not at least question in public debates. Instead, we apathetically allow as well proactively support additional legislation, compounding further the legalities already complex thus inconsistent, unwittingly shackling, chaining and pillorying ourselves and descendants.

Come let us Reason (Is 1:18). Peace is always a Choice (Mt 5:9).
Study, Ponder, Labor, till last Breath (2 Tm 2:15 / Cl 3:23).

Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu

Lao-tzu (6th century BC), also known as Laozi, among the early few in written history to observe the unavoidable effects caused by an expanding government, when it's "laws and regulations (become) more numerous than the hairs of an ox, it should be more feared than fierce tigers." A proponent of Individualism, it could be favorably debated. Certainly critical of excessive governing per legislation exceeding "hairs of an ox", necessary for any form of Collectivism (all Isms save one).

Chuang-tzu (4th century BC) made the following insightful observation of government's inherent excess towards forceful control along with frivolous expenditures. He explains, "A thousand ounces of gold is indeed a great reward, and the office of chief minister is truly an elevated position. But have you, sir, not seen the sacrificial ox awaiting the sacrifices at the royal shrine of state? It is well cared for and fed for a few years, caparisoned with rich brocades, so that it will be ready to be led into the Great Temple. At that moment, even though it would gladly change places with any solitary pig, can it do so? So, quick and be off with you! Don't sully me, I would rather roam and idle about in a muddy ditch, at my own amusement, than to be put under the restraints that the ruler would impose. I will never take any official service, and thereby I will satisfy my own purposes." I think the parable (if you will) should be sufficiently self-evident empirically thus logically.

Note:
Photo is a fascinating stone sculpture of Lao-tzu at the foot of Mount Qingyuan, Fujian Province, China. And thanks to Rothbard's two-volume work An Austrian Perspective on the History of Economic Thought.
