Vox Humana Vox Dei Non

Vox Humana Vox Dei Non... See link for my weekly article at SubStack.

As logically noted by Aristotle (384-322 BC) per the section Posterior Analytics of his work Organon…

"Now since the required ground of our knowledge---i.e. of our conviction---of a fact is the possession of such a syllogism... and the ground of the syllogism is the facts constituting its premises, we must not only know the primary premises---some if not all---beforehand, but know them better than the conclusion... So since the primary premises are the cause of our knowledge---i.e. of our conviction---it follows that we know them better---that is, are more convinced of them---than their consequences, precisely our knowledge of the latter is the effect of our knowledge of the premises."

Mere conclusions (i.e. outcomes) are the priorities of the 21st century mind, often to the exclusion of the laborious, arduous yet necessary process(es) of premises, observations, evidences, tests, determinations, propositions, syllogisms (logic), consistencies, ethics and more. Consequently, the adult mind remains entirely adolescent, far too deficient to exercise any meaningful analysis particularly complex as well regularly simplistic even commonly routine....

To my daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, who I love more than they know. It is my hope they someday will read this book when aged enough by human experiences hence mildly or gravely despondent over the human yet quite inhumane experiments, that is, the political and social monstrosities called Government.

To the following (incomplete list of) influences, who in various decrees marginally or largely shifted my ideological thus moral paradigm(s), facilitating and fostering the conclusions in this book. To Prefer Even Propend Is To Reason

To Prefer Even Propend Is To Reason... See link for my weekly article at SubStack.

https://dcquillanstone.substack.com/p/to-prefer-even-propend-is-to-reason?s=w

Every member of the specie human constantly prefers or not prefers, consistently propends or not propends. That is to say, each individual prefers or propends “this” else prefers or propends “that” then prefers or propends “that” else prefers or propends “this” and so on. Preference even Propensity are neither an elected preoccupations nor chosen activities, rather continuous states of human existence. To contend the self-evident, to reason is human (see Proem & Poem Nos. 22-24, 33, 34) is to redundantly confirm to prefer even propend is to reason else something instinctive....

12th Book on Ability to Reason, Right to Consent; Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 275

Most likely to be published later this summer of 2022, my 12th book entitled appropriately; Propositions, Problems & Poems on the Peculiar Human ABILITY to REASON, Singular Human RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover a slightly modified yet appropriate version of the 10th and 11th books...

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 275

~ Various Final Thoughts ~

Poetry is harmonious utilization of thought and language as much as logic the science of sciences, thus empirical considerations, methodical categorizations, analytical comparisons then logical conclusions inevitably lending towards observable constancies, practical consistencies, applicable ethics or moralities, as well beautiful even astonishing poetics.

With that said, consider the below quote taken from the work Sic Et Non by Peter Abelard (1079-1142), as diligently stated by the philosopher, logician, theologian, teacher, musician, composer, and poet.

Constant and frequent questioning is the first key to wisdom... For through doubting we are led to inquire, and by inquiry we perceive the truth.

Questioning and doubting observably, logically, ethically oppose the fool's drone-like acceptance of science, fact, truth or common good as though "in" or "settled", foregone conclusively as often promulgated by empowered institutions whether the 16th century Catholic Church, 17th century Puritan Massachusetts, 18th century British Empire, 20th century Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Communist Russia as well 20th/21st century Centralist, Crony-Corporatist therefore Anti-Individualist, Anti-Capitalist America.

Instead, the pursuit of knowledge, logic, consistency, ethic, truth, discernment, wisdom comes only by ceaseless study, endless ponder, tireless labor until one's last breath. The same ends pursued by lesser effort leads unavoidably, inevitably to ignorance, illogic, inconsistency, immorality, falsity, dullness and foolishness.

Furthermore as such, these are unavoidable dynamics or as some would call it, natural laws. Success is not guaranteed but only possible per our willingness to fail upon our willingness to labor. Likewise, to do right or to be moral is best determined per our willingness to bear fully our own responsibilities and risks, while constantly respecting, consistently regarding each and every person's singular human right to consent or dissent on all matters. Do this not, then success impossible thus failure ensued while immorality ensured.

As already mentioned else implied in various statements, all politics are discussions then implementations disguised by convenient, expedient and/or benevolent terms, intellectualized as intriguing, alluring, endearing even titillating isms, however achieved by the sufficient gathering and colluding of the consented so to coerce the dissented. Imperatively as well axiomatically the moral burden of proof rests on those who embrace their preferred form of politics as something other than first covetousness followed by presumption then arrogance and finally violence manifested as nothing more than force arbitrarily legalized.

And finally, it must be stated once again. There is one morality, one ethic, one right, one ism (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 274), consequently all other moralities, all other ethics, all other rights, all other isms must first be mutually, unanimously consented hence the regard for the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters, as determined and manifested by the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, else the entire affair immoral, unethical even inhumane if forcefully imposed.

---

And so it goes per cigarette pouts, martini slurs o'er high-heel stirs
Seasoned terse withal usual curse, twice recited, thrice liken verse
Mid cornet and saxophone blown, blue and mauve notes so moaned
Heaving as bosom-tones, ear-suckled by hungry souls, each alone

Each lonely in self-made worlds, as perpetuated inwardly towards
Moralized narcissism, benevolent selfishness per the lowing discords
Centering on lack of observation, analysis, determination along logic
So, inconsistencies, complexities aft’ covetous urges as noble politics

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
Study, Ponder, Labor, till last Breath.

Quote and book by Francis A. Schaeffer (theologian, 1912-1984)

"The climax of the Ten Commandments is the Tenth Commandment – 'Thou shat not covet' – Actually we break this last commandment, not to covet, before we break any of the others. Any time that we break one of the other commandments of God, it means that we have already broken this commandment, in coveting."

Francis A. Schaeffer (theologian, 1912-1984)

Note:
Quote taken from his 1971 book True Spirituality… As much I contend observably, logically, consistently the singular human right to Consent or Dissent on ALL matters (per 10th and 11th books, and book forthcoming), likewise I contend observably, logically, consistently the singular human adversary even archfoe (if you will) of such right as Covetousness oft morphing into Presumption then soon Arrogance. I owe in part my understanding of the latter to studying, pondering, laboring over the book’s 1st chapter.

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 274

~ Inveterate Covetousness Theorem / Part 3 ~

Appropriately, the Inveterate Covetousness Theorem could very well be expanded and/or renamed as the Common Perversion Theorem or simply Perversionism. For the two quite tightly interlaced perhaps synonymously interchangeable hence incestuously intertwined, consequently to state and enumerate redundantly; Covetousness then Perversion.

To define once again, the following two isms restated per installments prior as duly noted.

Perversionism (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 265); to consent or dissent on all matters per his/her preference, yet remain discontented, disconcerted even disturbed until others act, speak even think compatibly, similarly by force legal or illegal thus force governmental, social or personal. It is critical to include in consideration and understanding the word and sentiment covetousness (Proposition, Problem & Poem Nos. 231-235, 245, 246) as the indisputable perquisite to such perversion (see Proem & Poem Nos. 135, 154, 190 and Proposition, Problem & Poem Nos. 247, 265).

Individualism (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 263); the constant respect hence consistent regard for each and every person's Peculiar Human Ability to Reason as manifested per the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters. Without exemption or exception (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 247), all considerations must rest upon the aforesaid, else the unethical dilemma remaining unjustifiable ergo unresolvable till resumed and revered the one ethos and creed (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 250) as determined then established since humanity first reasoned.

At core (incurably rotten) of all organized coercions, that is to say, all politics therefore all political isms, all social isms, all economic isms (including capitalism as popularly tho’ incorrectly used and abused since 1913), all governmental systems (thus any-ocracy), all partisan platforms (thus any plank), all socio-political movements (thus any reform), is of course Perversionism at stark odds against the sole ism logical, ethical, rightful hence Individualism. It should be quite unnecessary to note then warn; Perversionism stands ever readied covetously, presumptuously, arrogantly to forcefully constrain, violently reduce or inhumanely eliminate Individualism.

The contention always exists at this juncture, for by the two aforesaid definitions one’s emotionally embraced polities and sentimentally endeared moralities are logically challenged even ethically condemned, thus the often inimical response even hysterical rejection of the same.

Hence the belligerency as commonly ensued by the ever expansion
Never the contraction per assumption of further double-speculation
Hence lies are truths, truths are lies, reaffirmed if asserted twice
Recited thrice to suffice vogue hysterics pining for rogue paradise

Mark Twain quotes on education...

"Many public-school children seem to know only two dates--1492 and 4th of July; and as a rule they don't know what happened on either occasion."

"Education consists mainly in what we have unlearned."

"It ain’t what you know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so."

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 273

~ William Thomson and Hobbes' Unresistible Might ~

Adequate notions are those in which, besides enumerating the marks, we can explain them; that is, can enumerate the marks of the marks of the distinct notions, and again the marks of those marks… So we have an adequate notion of what Hobbes means by Rights, when we not only know it is “unresistible might in a state of nature,” but can explain what unresistible might and state of nature are.

William Thomson, Archbishop of York (1819-1890)

As taken from his 1842 book An Outline of the Necessary Laws of Thought: A Treatise on Pure and Applied Logic, thus interestingly to note the applicably quoted phrase unresistible might per Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679).

For who neither observes nor concludes his/her own persistence then insistence towards the singular human right to consent or dissent on all matters, whether to then allow else deny the exercise of the same with much diligence and determination?

For who neither observes nor concludes others’ persistence then insistence towards the singular human right to consent or dissent on all matters, whether to then allow else deny the exercise of the same with much diligence and determination?

The master of a plantation, the tyrant of a kingdom, the dictator of a regime, as well the prime minister of a parliamentary government, even the president of a democratic republic, all without exception are fully aware of their own and others’ persistence then insistence towards the singular human right to consent or dissent on all matters, while covetously deliberating, presumptuously disrespecting, arrogantly disregarding then forcefully disallowing the same for any and all. For the very use of force so to disallow others therefore legislate, regulate, prohibit, ban, sanction, mandate, order, tax (then provide, subsidize, grant, etc.), confiscate, intervene, prevent, intrude, impose, monitor, spy as well invade, occupy, destroy, annihilate others, confirms the enforcer’s recognition of such persistence, insistence thus potential resistance upon the singular right and unresistible might.

So it follows, regardless the political rhetoric and/or social admonition, human actions inevitably reveal the covetous expectation hence presumptuous intention, regularly cloaked by the Golden Rule per some contorted version then sorted perversion thereof, while generally ignored the Silver Rule per some distorted convenience then consorted expedience.

---

Surrogates dire as ablated by liars, charlatans, schemers, deceivers
Per covetousness, presumption, arrogance unrestrained thus levered
Until fevered, hence believers of such nonsense, ignorance, lunacy
Atrocious come nigh, vociferous the cry, ergo ill the importunacy

Hence the belligerency as commonly ensued by the ever expansion
Never the contraction per assumption of further double-speculation
Hence lies are truths, truths are lies, reaffirmed if asserted twice
Recited thrice to suffice vogue hysterics pining for rogue paradise
