12th Book on Ability to Reason, Right to Consent; Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 255

Published in 2022 amid US Government's tyranny crescendo-ing to unprecedented magnitudes as done by many (if not all) presidential administrations and congressional classes, unchallenged by judicial benches, particularly those of 21st century (without exception), that is to say, my 12th book (3rd of trilogy thus 1st and 2nd), entitled appropriately and exhaustively Propositions, Problems & Poems on the Peculiar Human ABILITY to REASON, Singular Human RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters (May 2022)...

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 255

~ Capacity, Ability, Proximity, Longevity ~

Self-interest in itself is not virtue nor vice, not accuracy nor error, not moderation nor excess, not success nor failure, not strength nor frailty, not morality nor malice, rather innate, connatural as well amoral even inescapable state, characteristic, posture of the specie humanity. To use the common vernacular; it is what it is, nonstop thus full-stop. The ethical dilemma arises immediately upon any intervention, imposition, intrusion of anyone’s self-interest.

It would be erroneous to equate self-interest to instinct, for the former investigates, determines, prioritizes, concludes then pursues, inseparably engaging the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably utilizing the individual’s knowledge direct (experience) and indirect (education) as well propensity, prerogative, preference, purpose, etc., inseparably exercising the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters (i.e. concluding then pursuing). Self-interest therefore intrinsic per the constant state of want (lack or scarcity), limitations upon the specie humanity as follows…

1. Limited Capacity (e * 1 = finite energy).

2. Limited Ability (s * 1 = finite skills).

3. Limited Proximity (x * 1, y * 1, z *1 = finite space).

4. Limited Longevity (t * 1 = finite time).

To state alternatively, synonymously; non-omnipresent, non-omniscient thus non-omnipotent, else the specie (if you will) is supra-humanity (weak argument) or divinity. Self-interest therefore extrinsic per the constant state without want, non-limitations upon the specie supra-humanity or divinity as follows…

1. Unlimited Capacity (e * ∞ = infinite energy).

2. Unlimited Ability (s * ∞ = infinite skills).

3. Unlimited Proximity (x * ∞, y * ∞, z * ∞ = infinite space).

4. Unlimited Longevity (t * ∞ = infinite time).

To state alternatively, synonymously; omnipresent, omniscient thus omnipotent, else the specie is non-supra-humanity or non-divinity.

With that said… Self-Interest is as flawed as it is inherent to the specie human, always prone to error and excess per human propensity philosophically or per human sin theologically, therefore ceaselessly susceptible to frustration thus exasperation thereupon the constant presence of or constant possibility for covetousness then presumption, arrogance, violation (if to disrespect and disregard others' prerogatives and preferences), however, potentially interrupted hence potentially subjugated at any moment if chosen by the Human Ability to Reason. Theologically, this is the common grace breathed into the nostrils of every man and woman (oppose to particular grace, another and different matter respectively left to theologians more qualified).

O the veneration of Statism by reverent “Thou art great!”
Referent the usual bait and titillation by prattle and prate
Such parades of pomposities upon asses among the masses
Flash o’er head, cash to shred, while raising empty glasses

O the exasperation by Statism upon citizenry-turned-servility
Paupers then puppets, on to serfs and slaves, ah fervent tyranny
Charade'ing the parade, choice by force, devoiced fitly coursed
While presumption and arrogance bellow as covetously sourced

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
Study, Ponder, Labor, till last Breath.
