One should not be surprised in the coming years if not months by the overt partisan Fascism, that is to say, the top-down regulatory methodology towards "total" control of the economy thus society.
If surprised then one was unaware of the numerous decades of slightly less overt bipartisan (Fascist-esque) Cronyism, that is to say, the top-down regulatory methodology towards "minimal-to-fractional-to-principal" control of the economy thus society.
Socialism was introduced of course as the bread tossed to the Roman mob for the aforementioned power-exchanges, thus incrementally expanded from administration to administration, well supported by both major parties.
As such, it could be easily argued given the exponential increases in monetary policies, budgetary expenditures and various political powers since the turn of the century, the Bush, Obama, Trump and soon Biden administrations have been most devastating to the wealth and health of Individualism.
