I thought the lecture provided a good historical account about market dynamic changes over the decades, and how those changes contributed to the biased news we now have. The presentation is slightly biased in reference to Trump (I speak as neither Democrat nor Republican), however moderately quite tolerably so, for I contend no one can be completely nonbiased.
What was implied or mentioned although not emphasized enough (in my humble opinion) was the role of consumer demand, for as much government and politicians mirror the people, so do news agencies and journalists. However positively, the rise in alternative online news sources and talk shows are too indicative of a growing consumer demand for something other than CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, 3 major networks, NPR and so on.
