HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 68

Most likely to be published early 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

PROEM & POEM No. 68 - Individualism versus Moral Absolutism

To be steadfast and stalwart in a preferred morality as expressed and exercised individually, conversationally, philosophically, academically even debatably is not the same logically nor ethically when steadfast and stalwart in a preferred morality then exhorted and exerted politically, governmentally, legislatively, legally thus forcefully upon the whole society.

The former is conducted within the context of agreeable mutuality or unanimity, followed by actions of cooperation among the consenting, prerequisite of course the respect and regard for each person’s Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent, hence quite ethical the Voluntarily driven Individualism.

In contrast, the latter is conducted within the context of presumption, followed by actions of force upon the consenting and dissenting alike, prerequisite of course the disrespect and disregard for each person’s Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent, hence quite unethical the Morally driven Absolutism.

---

Bricks and sticks, known to fix while prone to trick
Per bureaucratic jesters, festered by body politic
Lured then bestirred further by covetous murmurs
Perverted by academic charmers strutting as nurturers

---

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
