HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 85

Most likely to be published later this spring of 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

PROEM & POEM No. 85 - What Is Tyranny, What Is Slavery

What is Tyranny (see Nos. 2-4) if not the question; what is Slavery (see No. 1)? The distinction being merely semantics, both are presumption to forcefully impose upon one by another regarding any or all matters. Is it more or less unethical if one enslaves ninety-nine versus ninety-nine enslaving just one? So it should be equally stressed, is it more or less unethical if one tyrannizes ninety-nine versus ninety-nine tyrannizing just one? To go further, is it more or less unethical if one despotically rules 999,999 or more without their consent, versus 999,999 or more democratically ruling just one without his/her consent?

Tyranny is not a matter of effected numbers nor decisional/political processes (i.e. monarchy/oligarchy versus democracy), that is, the few or the many presumptuously lording over those remaining, rather, it is a matter of disregarding one or more individuals’ Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent on any and all matters. Inseparably, these same disregarded individuals’ Peculiar Human Ability to Reason is disrespected gravely even inhumanely, for what is Consent or Dissent if not the sole expression or conclusion of Reason (see Nos. 8-10, 33, 34). The gravity even inhumanity of such is by the disregard thus disrespect of that which distinguishes the one specie human and reasonable (see No. 23, 34, 48) among all other species nonhuman and instinctive. In this way, it is humans monstrously lowering other humans to animals to be prodded and herded towards the former’s preferences.

Citizenry and laity colluding thus “Te Deum laudamus
Nonetheless, the Natural Grace they effaced by distrust
Assayed as rust, tossed like dross, hot the fuss till gone
The thrill’s final dawn, upon twilight forever and anon

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
