HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 48

Most likely to be published early 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

PROEM & POEM No. 48 - To Emote is Common and Constant

What should be obvious as explained previously; to reason is human, to consent is unalienable, additionally and simultaneously, to emote is common and constant. Ever present, engaged even expressed are reason, instinct and emotion, of course in comparatively various as well fluctuating magnitudes. While observers may judge an individual’s behavior, activity or particular action as reasonable, instinctive or emotional, never disposed nor disengaged are the three.

A person appearing level-headed, stoic or logical is nonetheless emotional, possessing and engaging the ability to emote of some magnitude. Likewise, a person appearing reactionary or impulsive, hysterical or sentimental, is nonetheless reasonable, possessing and engaging the ability to reason of some magnitude. Emotion as well instinct are dynamics in constant play, either dominant or submissive upon each passing moment, to the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent.

Scorn until the chosen smirk, mourn until the chosen mirth
Tho’ steep the worth of all endeavors wherever the dearth
Rare earth’s human birth, hence a mother readily suffers
Pain nonesuch stains so much, yet choice always the rudder

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
