ABILITY to REASON, RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 24

Most likely to be published sometime in 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the ABILITY to REASON, RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing...

PROEM & POEM No. 24 - To Reason Is Human / 2nd Reprise

Humanity is not distinguished by the ever-present instinct to react, a characteristic shared by all species, rather by the ever-present ability to reason, inseparably the ever-present right to consent or not consent. Concisely, consent by reason is the unique expression of the being human. Thus to presumptuously disallow in whole, or in part mostly or minutely, is to disrespect the right to consent, ultimately to disregard the ability to reason. By such disrespect and disregard, humanity’s distinction becomes inconsequential to the clueless by social design and the careless like sacerdotal swine, as well wantonly trampled by the insatiably covetous, the degenerately malicious and the irredeemably callous. It logically follows, indistinguishably inhumane would be the posture and treatment towards their fellow man versus managed cattle, hunted game or worst though no less true, discarded carcasses for severed trophies.

Truly the aforementioned considerations stress and press towards the imperative conclusion to unconditionally respect without reservation the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably, to unqualifiedly regard without exception the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent. It is, of course, a nonnegotiable prerequisite for entering all matters intimate, private, philosophical, spiritual, theological, public, social, political, consequently, ethical and so on infinitely categorical, involving two more individuals.

Thus the Adamic passion unbridled, amid dust until touch
Damnation rivaled by Causation’s archival, ah insomuch
Per one Nonesuch, hence Existing preexisting perpetual
Scribing on rock aft’ wind, to wit, the Writ as Law natural

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
