Mysteries as Love’s Epistles... poetic epic taken from my 9th book of 2017...

Poetic epic taken from my 9th book The MEMPHIS NIGHTCLUB MURDERS & Other Poetic Mysteries (Feb 2007); a collection of poetic mysteries (short stories) and various epics, poems, and verses...

Mysteries as Love’s Epistles

~ A Poetic Perambulation ~

From sunlit porticos, upon ivied columns along corridors
Twinges pitch hence pang, at pith and pit of inner core
Flesh twain, apart, the distancing bane, liken fleeing harts
Per hunt, such harm by hubris, with this, Ego’s abstract art

Beneath cool archways and arbors, hanging so voluptuous
Blooms of petals dewed, swelled skins of fruit sensuous
Timid as tumid, lust slows then grows, as passions insist
Twitching the lips, twisting the tongues, until pair by tryst

Hesitant she as desirous, impressions still as indecisions
Reluctant he as delirious by abstractions, her divinations
Or by intoxications, he dreams in trance mid funeral pyres
With tambourine she dances, as gypsies `round ritual fires

Stung then the lies, alas foregone shit stings like thistles
Forget they must, to trust the mysteries as Love’s epistles
Low the tears, hard as rain, from cheek to breasts the mist
Stained shirt, strained skirt by four hands vised as one fist

Pressed till wrested, palms to palms, fingers form coitus
Side by side, thigh feels thigh, sighs until cries arduous
Night falls like Turin shroud, as one hundred candles burn
Akin to moths, they flit and flutter o’er hurts, each in turn

O to learn from past spurns, withal, hearts always callow
Within fervor’s fury, Passion smolders as cloth in tallow
Beguiled, wiled, maybe a bit maudlin (often lovers’ coffin)
Such uncoiling as mortals collide, an erotic storm therein

Singed wings by old flings, or some other goddamn thing
Wounds to scars, hang far into mind, on sullied brass rings
Liken black-lighted rooms, archetypal galleries of Self-art
Jungian pelf on psychotic carts, pile high as none departs

No one imparts dissimilar, for bent as this is quite familiar
Mortals’ birthright, Strife (oft miswritten as Life), millers
As such, and much if not all, burns as fire, as well warms
Ill, fraught, still sought, some reason amid passion’s norms

Two souls stumble and struggle, past the doors and closets
Down Fear’s hall, groping mid walls scrawled with posits
Harshest of truths, rarely sleuthed, either animus or anima
Keener incubus, or inner vox humana as morning’s manna

Ergo subtle nuances, so it goes, snakes in pile, calm or riled
Good portends, while Evil pretends, as sanity slips into exile
To Patmos isle, upon insanity’s bile, to flirt in foolish mirth
Misanthropes de trop or not, tho’ hoping of one logical firth

Oh Love rebirths, seemingly recherché among worldly frays
Swirling displays; corpses rigor-ed, souls cold, hearts filleted
As well minds abysmal, yea, the warmth by fervid baptismal
Regardless the chances dismal, or tenacious choices chrismal

Onerous to bedchamber, beyond last tread and rise, thus run
By Godspeed, hand o’er foot, sweat on brow, neither outdone
Alas cursed by sad verse, John Donne’s madness his sorrow
Anguish'd, not that 'twas sin, but that 'twas she, a fervid woe

Twin in throes, thrust into lustful trust, their melding flesh
As continents clash, or welding of steel, white hot the mesh
Paramours threshing out the Love, without doubt or pause
Hesitation now epicurean determination, their shared cause

To floor the vase shatters, water splatters and roses scatter
Prurient the groans swore, more variant the moans blather
Dethroned then devoured, Pride as well the whore Despair
A sudden Diaspora, by Love diademed and Passion the heir

Brawn, sinew, muscle and tendon, desires flex then stretch
Unto four corners ‘low canopy’s lace, each sniff and scratch
Along nape and back, wet and etch anew, as bloody tattoos
Entwined or strewn upon the satin, flooding senses of two

Skewed their sprawled dimensions, queued the raw tension
Lewd within Love’s lexicon, tongues’ unknown expressions
Mouths uttering low, lips stuttering slow at midlands’ gist
Kissed the hushes, `tween the rushes, as agog gushes insist

Resist not did they, dyad to plait, anon unbraided to repeat
Oft encircling, akin Greco grapplers in Romanesque heat
By arabesque feats, thus eiderdown tossed, flesh glossed
Sheets moist as shaded moss, ah the choice to rid the dross

To passionately joust no further, as lust wanes to cincture
So to pine (unlike Young Werther, lacking bane’s venture)
While both souls longingly smolder, their censers by vesper
Unfettered festering, skin on skin, `low night air’s whispers

From sunlit porticos, upon ivied columns along tomorrows
Twinges pitch hence pang, at pith and pit by forth-sorrows
Yet to love once, twice, thrice else ceaselessly, heedlessly
Of all others’ druthers or mutters, two utter adrift virtuously

Graced by thirty winters she, faced dilemmas odd by threes
Or singly so, third worst among throes, a cancerous decree
Thou cruel Dancer, well versed in Womb’s ascetic suffering
More, Tomb’s poetic suffrage, futile the swain’s thwarting

Erstwhile, the swan’s hoarding, raw secrets mid romances
Chance upon advances, time aft’ time aft’ fuckin’ chances
Wronged by illiterate flirts, withdrawn per itinerant hurts
Intended or not, pretended her lot, along tearstained shirts

He by solitude in surplus, she of dawn till dusk, imminent
Independently sufficient, although, separately reminiscent
One dried burnt-sienna rose, espoused `twixt sacred breasts
Laid by poet fraught, yet orbs heave not at Death’s behest

Sonnets with arias, so plummet from summits sabbatical
Canticles fanatical, equally, odes unfold in woes viatical
Devils as wolves, lurk in his literature, then empty pitcher
Love pours, from bottle mid lips to floor, as poetic stricture

Breath faltered as Life slipped, his hand she ceased to grip
“The stars…to be one” eclipsed by lisp, from her pale lips
To replay again and again, as sand spills, grain by grain
Between fingers, memories linger, pain damns then reigns

By ashes she fell, o’er upper Appalachia, to the lower dells
He dashes and scales, five cataracts, veils to slower swells
Per swirling facts in hurling pell-mell, a disturbing motion
Rekindling emotion, reviving a devotion for their locutions

Mêlées lyrical, sways literal, as one ancient, poetical soul
Rarely so, possessing two modern minds in untold strolls
Within images stirred, by words, metaphors or apologues
An endless epic, dialogue without prologue, nor epilogue

In fist tightly, per fits nightly, a tarnished, bloodied crucifix
Whispers bleed from lips, as oaths of gods o’er river Styx
Transfixed betwixt, between two ends, the insisting mean
Persisting mode, poetry flows, in crowded solitude unseen

Ah the passions prolonged, by every zephyr brushing hands
Like her breath then, hot on flesh, as shadows in hinterland
Form in brain, upon each rain, shedding she the shroud wet
In silence he loudly vets, as often Love hauntingly begets

Bill of Right (singular) by D.C. Quillan Stone

If such understanding forms and foments, then solely amid ceaseless study, ponder and labor, concluding first in part, later in whole, to logically respect then ethically regard, hence fervently declaring then firmly establishing in this manner.

The propensity, preference and persistence upon observable practice by Each and Every Individual since first reasoned the Specie Human and Peculiar above all other species, thus consistently inclining, constantly insisting the Singular Right to Consent or Dissent regarding Each and Every Matter, indeed without exception as exemplified per unwanted prevention, unacceptable prohibition, undesirable preemption, unwelcomed intervention, unwarranted retroaction by persons ever covetous as well parties ever contemptuous whether private, religious, philosophical, economical, social, political, governmental and more.

Quote by D.C. Quillan Stone... Perversionism versus Individualism...

There is nothing conceptually erroneous about lists of moralities or bills of rights as commonly understood arrangements and practices, even when forcefully imposed however only when consented unanimously then continuously.

If to unwittingly, excessively rely on lists or bills as foregone conclusions, then too easily overlooked, dismissed, even transgressed then trampled the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent on ALL matters, the outward expression by action, voice, gesture, or writ upon analyzing, comparing, prioritizing, determining per one's accumulative knowledge directly (experience) and accumulative knowledge indirectly (education, instruction, study), unavoidably combined with his/her personality, psychology, perception, prerogative, propensity, preference, predilection, principle, pursuit, purpose, project, profession, production, property, purse, portfolio, possession thus the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason. That is to say, if to rely on Ludwig von Mises' definition of reasoning as articulated in his praxeological work, book, and magnum opus Human Action (1949 in German, 1949 in English).

It is critical to note; if to deny others' Singular Human Right to Consent, the difficulty and challenge rest not on those who propose and concur however on those who disagree and reject, inescapably necessary to justify their posture as something other than presumption, arrogance, violence driven by covetousness.

And so, the following two isms as published in my 12th book; first as coined and defined, the second as reclaimed and redefined...

Perversionism; to consent or dissent on all matters per his/her preference, yet remain discontented, disconcerted even disturbed until others act, speak even think compatibly, similarly by force legal or illegal thus force governmental, social or personal. It is critical to include in consideration and understanding the word and sentiment covetousness as the indisputable perquisite to such perversion.

Individualism; the constant respect hence consistent regard for each and every person's Peculiar Human Ability to Reason as manifested per the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters. Without exemption or exception, all considerations must rest upon the aforesaid, else the unethical dilemma remaining unjustifiable ergo unresolvable till resumed and revered the one ethos and creed as determined then established since humanity first reasoned.

Quote by Abraham Kuyper... Finite reasoning can never obtain the infinite as its result...

Many would argue; humanity continues to increase it's knowledge by discovering, experiencing, learning, applying, observing, so much so, appearing as though endless, even infinite the extent of such progression. And let us say there there is no doubt regarding the aforesaid while striking a line anywhere along history's timeline past, present, future, from humanity's creation theologically else humanity's evolution philosophically until now then beyond this side of heaven theologically else this side of mortality's end philosophically. To note, the logic and consistency remain per ether posture and presupposition, although 19th century Western history would suggest even propose the incremental digression from Logic as the Science of Sciences soon following the incremental digression from Theology as the Queen of Sciences.

In so doing (to continue), one must confess else pretend otherwise the ever present state of finiteness per humanity's existence and various abilities then capacities.

With that said, if to reject God, the Infinite, the Absolute, then one's imagination amid the departure, the depravity conjures endless absurdities as possibilities, that is to say, wildly fabricating inconsistencies as though consistencies, contradictions as though concurrences, thereby fantasies as though realities, while emotionally slanderous, even irrationally violent towards those who critique. Upon continual digressions, psychosis would be the logical diagnosis if unaffected humanity's organizations, associations, religions, universities, sciences, institutions, governments, etc. Unfortunately, the ill effects cancerously widespread. In brief, if to deny the Infinite, then too easily dismissed thus covetously ignored the Finite.

Quote by Abraham Kuyper... No man has the right to rule over another man...

The theologian and polymath Abraham Kuyper, while later becoming ironically the prime minister of The Netherlands, nevertheless identified a commonly (and conveniently) ignored dilemma per government's perpetuity upon presumption over each new generation without extending inquiry and certainly without soliciting consent. Thomas Jefferson, while later becoming ironically the 3rd president of the United States, also identified the same commonly (and conveniently) ignored dilemma aforesaid a century earlier.

I set out on this ground, which I suppose to be self evident, 'that the earth belongs in usufruct to the living:' that the dead have neither powers nor rights over it.

Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
Letter to James Madison (1789)

Yet still in 2026, Americans continue to be burdened even oppressed by documents, addendums, legislations, regulations, taxations, expenditures, debts, treaties, and many other government arrangements established and instituted by prior generations recent and distant. The dead truly remain to rule over the living, and do so without question. To clarify, this is not a call to reject the past wholesale, rather the right to reassess, revaluate, reprioritize, reaccept the conditions as a society although more critically thus logically, consistently, ethically as individuals.

Quote by Abraham Kuyper... There lies a mystery in the human mind...

Unless deluded enough to fully or sufficiently pride oneself thereby ceases to study, to ponder, to labor, thus to think, to consider, to reconsider (just as important), to listen, to read (books, not blogs), to learn (till last breath), and more. Consequently, one will speak full of presumption and arrogance upon covetousness with much disrespect and disregard towards anyone who disagree, even emotionally diss and slander those who critique his/her inconsistencies unavoidable per such posture. Therein the failed and depraved state that modern society dwells, exemplified ceaselessly by multitudinous inconsistencies conjured, schemed, then embraced.

Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Romans 1:22-25 (ESV)

Do not limit this portion of Scripture to those matters within the four walls of church even the soul, rather to all matters within and beyond academics, sciences( medicine too), politics, economics, moralities, etc. It should have been no surprise when tossed to curb in the late 19th century the adage and emphasis Theology the Queen of Sciences, that soon tossed too the related adage and emphasis Logic the Science of Sciences. However worse, the two digressions occurred largely unnoticed preempting the potential surprise. Coincidence? Correlation? Causality? It would be covetously foolhardy to categorize as the first or second hence scoffing the third.

Inveterate Covetousness Theorem

Published 22 May 2022, my 12th book entitled appropriately; Propositions, Problems & Poems on the Peculiar Human ABILITY to REASON, Singular Human RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The 3rd of a trilogy that included, obviously, my 10th and 11th books. Consequently, these three installments taken from my 12th book regarding Inveterate Covetousness Theorem...

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 245

~ Inveterate Covetousness Theorem / Part 1 ~

Presumption then Arrogance without exception precedes the disrespect thus disregard for the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters, as inseparably manifested by the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason. Covetousness also without exception precedes the same Presumption then Arrogance. So argued earlier observably, logically, consistently, ethically therefore consequently the three propositions as laws; the Law of Consensual Unity, the Law of Ethical Continuity and the Shaefferian Law of Anterior Covetousness (see Presumption, Problem & Poem Nos. 225-235). So must argue the following proposition logically albeit questionably thus declared not as a law rather presented as a theorem

To state, as much the Singular Human Right is in constant motion thus operation as determined in thought, as denoted by word, as demonstrated by action regardless the breadth and depth of respect then regard extended versus disrespect then disregard exacted, so Covetousness in constant motion thus operation as determined in thought, as denoted by word, as demonstrated by action regardless the breadth and depth of moderation then restriction self-imposed versus immoderation then facilitation self-roused.

It is true, one could argue whether Covetousness is ever present or not, with as much logic or evidence for either posture. However the debate would be moot if excepted the ever presence of Covetousness preceding each and every occurrence of Presumption then Arrogance followed by Disrespect thus Disregard, the constant and consistent antithesis to the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters, as inseparably manifested by the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason.

---

Politicians’ cronies, the johns and whores as meant then schemed
As dreamt mid river’s stream, per golden shores’ yonder beams
Fonder the morphine in cold hands, for diseased veins and minds
Sickened the soul, non-quickened the heart o’er the bestial grind

Sublime conversely the mind amid Freedom’s uncontained plains
Confuse not as Eden’s lovely main, nor to feign as Utopia’s reign
Unsustainable as deranged, unmaintainable as estranged, so it goes
As the emperor oddly disrobes, to maniacally don his new clothes

--- --- ---

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 246

~ Inveterate Covetousness Theorem / Part 2 ~

The importance of such consideration (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 245) is to grasp the prevalence of Covetousness particularly, within the greater context per the universally observable human propensities towards error and excess if philosophically determining, or the synonymous Calvinistic first-point regarding humanity as totally depraved if theologically determining.

To emphasize again logically although poetically, within the greater context defined either as the human proclivity for error and excess or as the human inherency for depravity, Covetousness exists, subsists, persists and insists.

---

Sublime conversely the mind amid Freedom’s uncontained plains
Confuse not as Eden’s lovely main, nor to feign as Utopia’s reign
Unsustainable as deranged, unmaintainable as estranged, so it goes
As the emperor oddly disrobes, to maniacally don his new clothes

Strolling oddly amid the furrows of thistles, thorns and dead roses
Oft supposed as predisposed, the insanities the crowned head poses
So the economical then societal throes for those disenfranchised
`Low the red moon, later the black skies, as prophetically surmised

--- --- ---

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 274

~ Inveterate Covetousness Theorem / Part 3 ~

Appropriately, the Inveterate Covetousness Theorem could very well be expanded and/or renamed as the Common Perversion Theorem or simply Perversionism. For the two quite tightly interlaced perhaps synonymously interchangeable hence incestuously intertwined, consequently to state and enumerate redundantly; Covetousness then Perversion.

To define once again, the following two isms restated per installments prior as duly noted.

Perversionism (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 265); to consent or dissent on all matters per his/her preference, yet remain discontented, disconcerted even disturbed until others act, speak even think compatibly, similarly by force legal or illegal thus force governmental, social or personal. It is critical to include in consideration and understanding the word and sentiment covetousness (Proposition, Problem & Poem Nos. 231-235, 245, 246) as the indisputable perquisite to such perversion (see Proem & Poem Nos. 135, 154, 190 and Proposition, Problem & Poem Nos. 247, 265).

Individualism (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 263); the constant respect hence consistent regard for each and every person's Peculiar Human Ability to Reason as manifested per the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters. Without exemption or exception (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 247), all considerations must rest upon the aforesaid, else the unethical dilemma remaining unjustifiable ergo unresolvable till resumed and revered the one ethos and creed (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 250) as determined then established since humanity first reasoned.

At core (incurably rotten) of all organized coercions, that is to say, all politics therefore all political isms, all social isms, all economic isms (including capitalism as popularly tho’ incorrectly used and abused since 1913), all governmental systems (thus any-ocracy), all partisan platforms (thus any plank), all socio-political movements (thus any reform), is of course Perversionism at stark odds against the sole ism logical, ethical, rightful hence Individualism. It should be quite unnecessary to note then warn; Perversionism stands ever readied covetously, presumptuously, arrogantly to forcefully constrain, violently reduce or inhumanely eliminate Individualism.

The contention always exists at this juncture, for by the two aforesaid definitions one’s emotionally embraced polities and sentimentally endeared moralities are logically challenged even ethically condemned, thus the often inimical response even hysterical rejection of the same.

---

Hence the belligerency as commonly ensued by the ever expansion
Never the contraction per assumption of further double-speculation
Hence lies are truths, truths are lies, reaffirmed if asserted twice
Recited thrice to suffice vogue hysterics pining for rogue paradise

And so it goes per cigarette pouts, martini slurs o'er high-heel stirs
Seasoned terse withal usual curse, twice recited, thrice liken verse
Mid cornet and saxophone blown, blue and mauve notes so moaned
Heaving as bosom-tones, ear-suckled by hungry souls, each alone

Quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Yet the common forest remains unnoticed for the individual trees...

Similarities are stretched beyond the peripheries like an uncharted forest but the trees on edge of the political wilderness occupies thus hinders everyone's vision whether the Democrat party and partisans or Republican party and partisans...

The Joe Kent situation (his resignation and others' rhetoric thereafter) is an astonishing example how the Republicans are using the very same sort of smearing and slandering, censoring and cancelling, like those of recent past, of anyone and everyone critical of the US-Israel-Iran War. To paraphrase; "They are not MAGA! they are Anti-Semitic Fascists taking over the Republican Party!", as well the familiar "Democracy is threatened!" And so goes the narrative levied against any criticism of the US Government's policies regarding Iran (wars) as well Israel (funds, weapons, and wars), and any criticism of the Likud-Israeli Government equally not tolerated.

Yet some of the same ones smearing, slandering, censoring, cancelling today were targeted during Covid-19(84) plandemic as well the US-Ukraine-Russia War by the same US Government though merely another administration. Simply, a different political issue, a different group wielding excessive power, and a different group targeted by that excessive power, while similar agendas, similar methods, similar abuses, and similar collateral damages...

Yet the common forest remains unnoticed for the individual trees.

Pragmatism... nothing more than BAMN lite or disguised.

Pragmatism often spoken as though virtue, yet if to ponder further the context, then the ism nothing more than BAMN lite or disguised. BAMN, of course, the popular yet unfortunate acronym for By All Means Necessary. Clearly, the means matter not, rather the ends the sole qualifier. For the ends if accomplished then the means qualified as good, if not accomplished then the means qualified as bad.

Sustainability sometimes conflated as pragmatism in the positive, when the two words conflict. If to praxeologically (economically too as subset) consider then apply, necessary would be analyzing the means over the ends per primary contributors towards increasing overhead thus unsustainability versus primary facilitators towards decreasing overhead thus sustainability. To exemplify, the governmental else socio-political uses of force regularly justified as pragmatic, however unavoidably, significantly even exponentially compounds overhead ergo more cost, expenditure, resource, labor, effort, and so on.

This popular acronym turns on head the historical, logical, ethical understanding per the consistent emphasis on the means over the ends, than the covetous emphasis on the ends over the means. So much so the popularity for it, I am unaware of public speakers (beyond few exceptions; Massie, Paul, McAdams, Austrian/Misesean economists, etc) who like King would emphasize contrary to prevailing emotions...

So, if you're seeking to develop a just society, they say, the important thing is to get there, and the means are really unimportant; any means will do so long as they get you there? they may be violent, they may be untruthful means; they may even be unjust means to a just end. There have been those who have argued this throughout history. But we will never have peace in the world until men everywhere recognize that ends are not cut off from means, because the means represent the ideal in the making, and the end in process, and ultimately you can't reach good ends through evil means, because the means represent the seed and the end represents the tree.
