Thoughts on Justice by Epicurus

"Justice has no independent existence, it results from the mutual contracts, and establishes itself whether there is a mutual engagement (consent) to guard against doing or sustaining (singular or) mutual injury. Injustice in not intrinsically bad; it has this character only because there is joined with it a fear of not escaping those who are appointed to punish actions marked with that character."

Epicurus (341–270 BC)

This Greek writer particularly states there is no justice, of any kind, social or political, without consent mutually, that is to say, unanimously among the involved and effected individuals. Murder is so without the consent of one or more, with mutual or unanimous consent it is assisted suicide. Theft is so without the consent of one or more, with mutual or unanimous consent it is some form of exchange; barter, purchase, loan, gift, etc. Rape is so without the consent of one or more, with mutual or unanimous consent it is some form of sexual activity. And so on.

Surely the issues of murder, theft, and rape as well their ethical versus unethical determinations by consent versus dissent are fundamental to any sense or notion of justice. Thus the broader political, social justice must consistently be judged by all involved and/or all effected, for without the consent of one or more the same political, social arrangement is gravely unjust.

Mr. Trump; the 3rd Warmongering US President of the 21st Century

Mr. Trump; the 3rd warmongering US President of the 21st century, rightly joining prior warmongers Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama as part of the evolving and expanding American Axis of Evil.

There is no point in supporting in detail my above comment. Online news sources of both partisan persuasions are littered with articles and videos of invasions, regime-changes, occupations, airstrikes, drone-strikes, with targets including homes, shops, schools, hospitals, even wedding parties, and more. Unceasing as well increasing from Mr. Bush's administration, throughout Mr. Obama's administration, until Mr. Trump's administration, and still, there is no end in sight to United States' imperialistic presumption, political arrogance as well military atrocities against humanity.

I condemn the US government on the matter, as well the Democratic / Republican politicians and constituents in support of American militarism and police-statism. More so, I condemn Christian-Americans claiming a faith in the Prince of Peace while remaining aligned or apathetic.

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.

Against War in Syria, as well US Wars Elsewhere, Past and Present

"Modern war is merciless, it does not spare pregnant women or infants; it is indiscriminate killing and destroying. It does not respect the rights of neutrals. Millions are killed, enslaved, or expelled from the dwelling places in which their ancestors lived for centuries. Nobody can foretell what will happen in the next chapter of this endless struggle. This has little to do with the atomic bomb. The root of the evil is not the construction of new, more dreadful weapons. It is the spirit of conquest. It is probable that scientists will discover some methods of defense against the atomic bomb. But this will not alter things, it will merely prolong for a short time the process of the complete destruction of civilization."

Ludwig von Mises (1881-1973)

"The second Wilsonian excuse for perpetual war ... is even more utopian: the idea that it is the moral obligation of America and of all other nations to impose "democracy" and "human rights" throughout the globe. In short, in a world where "democracy" is generally meaningless, and "human rights" of any genuine sort virtually nonexistent, that we are obligated to take up the sword and wage a perpetual war to force utopia on the entire world by guns, tanks, and bombs."

Murray N. Rothbard (1926-1995)

"But wars are not made by common folk, scratching for livings in the heat of the day; they are made by demagogues infesting palaces. It is not necessary for these demagogues to complete the sale of a war before they send the goods home, as a storekeeper must complete the sale of, say, a suit of clothes. They send the goods home first, then convince the customer that he wants them. ... But the main reason why it is easy to sell war to peaceful people is that the demagogues who act as salesmen quickly acquire a monopoly of both public information and public instruction. ... The dead are still dead, the fellows who lost legs still lack them, war widows go on suffering the orneriness of their second husbands, and taxpayers continue to pay, pay, pay. In the schools children are taught that the war was fought for freedom, the home and God."

H.L. Mencken (1880-1956)

"Modern war is not a war of royal armies. It is a war of the peoples, a total war. It is a war of states which do not leave to their subjects any private sphere; they consider the whole population a part of the armed forces. Whoever does not fight must work for the support and equipment of the army. Army and people are one and the same. The citizens passionately participate in the war. For it is their state, their God, who fights."

Ludwig von Mises (1881-1973)

CONDEMNATION IV - Either/Or

Most likely to be published later this spring of 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

CONDEMNATION IV - Either/Or ~

As I entered the editing phase for this book, while considering occasionally appropriate as well fierce critiques, I am reminded how logically, ethically irrefutable is the issue of consent. EITHER one consistently supports, passionately defends each and every individual's Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent on all matters (literally) without exception, OR upon any exception, always arbitrary of course, one must accept their own covetousness to pursue, presumption to scheme, arrogance to impose therefore violence to force against the Preference thus Dissent of others. Setting aside all politically, socially, morally and religiously conjured fantasies, a third consideration is empirically hence realistically nonexistent.

Come! Let us reason, else treason contra God’s logical beacon
Peace! A choice always, else the Singular Right viciously beaten
Lost the freedom, aloft the daemons hence presumptions reign
Arrogances abstain to respect and regard the Inseparable Twain

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.

AMERICA! - Connoted Collection of Nos. 58-59

America! Will God shed on thee grace undeservingly
For blood spilling `neath flag unfurling in every breeze
Flowing since founding, extolling hence compounding
Anthems hymning, spinning the half-truths half-telling

---

America! Should God bless thee and thy covetousness
(Right to have by presuming your due lustfully endless)
From citing to be free, to rioting for things free, the fling
To flirt, hamstringing empirics’ logic regardless the swing

CONDEMNATION III - Casting One Last Castigation

Most likely to be published later this spring of 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

CONDEMNATION III - Casting One Last Castigation ~

The Five Castigations in the previous Condemnation II, of course the featured 100 Proems & Poems, as well the cantos of the Abandoned Project, can be easily summarized if not already understood concisely at this juncture. For each installment share and state one Ethic thus Right applicable to all actions and activities involving two or more individuals, therefore an ethical dilemma consistently arises when transgressed, while unrecognized per the intentional or unintentional shrouding by the deviant or delusional among polity and democracy, society and popularity, majority and minority, economy and industry, clergy and laity, and more.

Christian-Americans are no exception, that is, brutally deviant and balefully delusional as Other-Americans, in stark contrast to New Testament theology and theme, Apostolical gospel and creed, as well Christly narratives accurately quoted or remotely paraphrased. With that said, each person’s conscious and confession are private matters, consequently between God and man. However between individuals, Christian-Americans have claimed distinction in society, but retained none in actuality, historically and persistently disrespecting and disregarding the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent.

---

Imposition resisted thereafter the proposition dissented
Presumption insisted upon the justification hence twisted
Covetousness encysted for tightfisted so the propensities
Depravity’s totalities; errors, excesses, Sin’s immensities
