ABILITY to REASON, RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 28

Most likely to be published sometime in 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the ABILITY to REASON, RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing...

PROEM & POEM No. 28 - To Consent Is Unalienable / 3rd Reprise

Thirdly, there were 17 amendments approved by the U.S. House of Representatives, 12 of the 17 approved by the U.S. Senate, and in 1791, 10 of 12 ratified by the states known as the Bill of Rights. The rejection of rights from the start was as arbitrary as the approving 17 then 12 as well the eventual ratifying the final 10. How do they ideologically parallel and encompass the 3 unalienable rights argued by Thomas Jefferson, or the 4 prior by John Locke. And what of Alexander Hamilton and James Wilson’s proposal of 0 or no rights (listed), for both countered the enumeration of rights as unnecessary even dangerous, fearing the understood constitutional interpretation “whatever is not written, is not allowed” transitioning to the perverse convenience “whatever is not written, is allowed.” Since 1791, U.S. history confirmed their fears.

Fourthly in 1948, the newly formed United Nations declared human rights in a lengthy 30 article document, as defined by Eleanor Roosevelt (architect of Arthurdale) and the commission she chaired. Arguably, the creation of the document suggests a critique of all past attempts on the matter as inadequate, insufficient. Such a document additionally suggests any list of rights as dynamic or relative oppose to static or absolute, thus equivocal when exemplified in plural, erroneous if estimated as unalienable. By this logical digression, omnipresent governments presume to be omniscient creators and omnipotent givers of rights, of course omnipotent takers of rights too.

Connived upon contrived, propagandized until convinced
To regard not the Singular Right to Consent or Not Consent
Hence, respect not the Particular Human Ability to Reason
So the socio-toxin, when facts are lies and Truth is treason

---

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.
