HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 45

Most likely to be published sometime in latter 2017 or early 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

PROEM & POEM No. 45 - Force Proactive versus Force Reactive / 2nd Reprise

Force or violence always imposes a cost upon both defender as well offender, in terms of life and property/resource, of course, as well liberty. The natural inclination by individuals is to avoid it, exemplified by millions upon millions living side by side, tolerating even befriending but at minimum coexisting so to buy, sell, barter, loan even donate, bestow, etc.

That is not to say human propensities within governments and royal courts are without irresistible temptation to use organized force or violence domestically and internationally, that is to say, the excessively empowered kings, presidents, dictators, parliaments, congresses, codependent to supporters and voters overly favored, advantaged, granted, subsidized, enfranchised without constraints and more.

Naively or manipulatively, such uses of organized force or violence are heralded as necessary religiously, patriotically, honorably, politically, socially, and most devious, mandatory democratically or popularly. Fitly, the tritely common hails bypass reason, titillating emotion, stimulating instinct; to God, king, country, flag, glory, pride, society and most vile, to the people. In this way, long before the forceful or violent action, the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent, have already been disrespected and disregarded.

---

Ah the multitudes lulled hence fooled by their kings
Coveting pence upon farthing from royal wellsprings
Princes like wizards so ponder, posture then conjure
As jesters saunter the dances to regale the conquered

Come let us Reason. Peace is always a Choice.

HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 44

44 - Force Proactive versus Force Reactive / 1st Reprise

The popular categorization of force throughout history, Good versus Evil, have been so within all contexts political, military, social, public, private, individual, reinforced by writings religious, academic and literary, scripts for stage and screen, as well stories, lyrics, poems, proverbs, adages and more. It is another discussion regarding forces good versus evil religiously or spiritually. Yet, dynamics between individuals since first humans, created or evolved (either view matters not), have remained constant in daily life, that is, no force thus nonviolence versus forces perceived or propagandized as either good or evil.

Aside any notions held about forces good and evil, human propensities amid day-to-day affairs trended towards no force or nonviolence over any force or violence per the inherent costs of the latter. Empirically, whether understood emotionally at least, at most logically, individuals were  and still are more incline to respect and regard the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent. Governments, however, have yet to demonstrate the inclination to respect and regard the same, hence the challenge to name one.

O love and peace cull and pull on hearts’ strings
Wresting souls, testing minds to mull on such things
Yet seduced the wretched by promulgated synonyms
Forcing by saber to coerce the labor per socio-vim

HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 43

43 - Force Proactive versus Force Reactive

Force proactive, regardless the intention, objective as well method is the common digression when one or more involved in or affected by the proposal, individually reasoned to not consent. As such, it is logically violence, affirmed by universal propensity to expect others’ respect and regard for one’s Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent.

Force reactive, on the other hand, is merely defensive action to thwart the imminent lost of the individual’s person, preference and/or property (i.e. life, liberty and/or property). As such, it is logically nonviolence, while quite violent the imposing “force proactive”, affirmed by universal propensity to demand respect and regard for one’s Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent.

HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 42

42 - Garden of Eden / Part 5

Clearly, if someone eats then someone must work. Equally true the elaboration, if someone demands goods and services as rights then someone must produce and provide voluntarily or coercively. If too few volunteer then someone must determine and order as well enforce, so someone will produce and provide. If someone produces and provides beyond personal consumption present and/or future, it is for compensation by someone served or by another charitably volunteered or forcefully confiscated.

To note, if someone justifies amid the determining, demanding and enforcing, then it is for propaganda alone. Justifying force proactive (versus reactive or defensive) is as unnecessary as it is arbitrary, thus no less unethical and injurious with or without it. Consequently and consistently without exception, force proactive is indicative of someone dissenting therefore someone presuming to determine, order, enforce, and at the heart of it, someone coveting.

Since the first humans, created or evolved, force proactive of the kind legal or illegal, for private, social, political or military objectives, whether perceived as moral or immoral, always involves the disrespect and disregard of the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent. There is no other view of it else a preferred naivety or fantasy.

PROEM & POEM No. 41 - Garden of Eden / Part 4

Since the earliest considerations of such things, the discussing and defining of divine and/or natural rights have been consistently in plural terms thus always without unanimous agreement, repeatedly concluding to erroneous enumerations. Upon the 20th century, lists of rights expanded to include goods and services per fallacious even self-serving pontifications from behind academic and political microphones, as well covetous even psychotic vociferations from behind social and public bullhorns, capriciously affixed to rights long held yet as poorly determined; life, liberty, property, speech, press, religion, etc.

Clarity, certainty hence consistency on the matter continues to be elusive, evidenced by the ever-present lack of consensus universally of course, as well culturally, racially, nationally, regionally, locally even within small groups whether argued politically, socially, religiously, philosophically, ideologically even whimsically (i.e. what if).  Oddly, amidst this oceanic quagmire of disagreements, the use of governmental force is a foregone conclusion, presuming absolute might for arbitrary rights while subjecting at minimum a dissenting minority. Obviously implied is the ethical dilemma since humanity’s beginnings, whether created or evolved, per the inescapable “if someone eats then someone must work”,

The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

PROEM & POEM No. 40 - Garden of Eden / Part 3

Whether the first humans actually hungered and thirst while in the Garden of Eden, or merely desired to eat and drink for pleasure, the dynamics involving the acquisition of food and water were the same then, since, as it is now. Consequently, Adam and Eve’s lack of omnipresence necessitated labor (e), their lack of omniscience and omnipotence exasperated it. Digressively, upon the divine judgment ending the Garden era, labor (e) was compounded further due to Nature cursed and altered from continuously lush, plentiful and full, to occasionally or regularly barren, scarce and dry hence prevalent the risk of lack and harm.

Post-Eden conditions immediately demanded far more labor (e) and sweat of face (or brow), far more time (t) to fill Adam’s cup and Eve’s basket as well to gather wood and straw to carve and weave the same cup and basket. In brief, the inhabitants of the cursed world were in constant jeopardy, mitigated only by much human labor. With that said, similarities logically remain regardless of belief or doctrine. Comparatively, if someone ate in the Garden, then someone labored however mildly per constantly favorable conditions. Consistently, if someone ate since the Garden, then someone labored however greatly per occasionally or regularly unfavorable conditions.

HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 39

39 - Garden of Eden / Part 2

Consequently, Adam and Eve immediately exerted labor (e) along timelines from one point in time (t1) to another point in time (t2), so to move from one space (x1,y1,z1) to another space (x2,y2,z2) distant, nearby even merely adjacent. This was true in Eden whether they walked to a meadow or hill always lush, gathered fruits or nuts always plentiful, or drew from a brook or pond always full. Equally true for post-Eden, whether conditions were sometimes barren, scarce or dry.

So limited or bound were the first humans as obviously their descendents, labor (e) was necessary to exert along successive points in time(t) to simply imagine, invent and/or implement, even if stationary upon one point in space (x,y,z) for the duration.

The Garden of Eden was paradisiacal, of course theologically, with climatic, seasonal dynamics affording conditions apparently without risk of lack or harm of various sorts. With that distinction made, water did not miraculously appear in Adam’s cup or fruit in Eve’s basket, and if with a cup or basket, neither item were divinely formed from the dust or air. The cup was carved, basket weaved, as well water drawn, fruit plucked, and done so by moving from space (x1,y1,z1) and time (t1) to another space (x2,y2,z2) and subsequent time (t2),  thus inescapably involving labor (e) per aforementioned lines or better said, rays of time (i.e. timelines).

HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 38

38 - Garden of Eden / Part 1

For anyone theologically studious formally or informally, it is paramount to understand certain natural dynamics as much a part of the Garden of Eden as any other place or space (x,y,z) on earth then and since beginning of time. That is to say, the first humans did not exist within an Edenic environment too unlike the post-Edenic environment outside a few exceptions implied or outlined in early verses of Genesis. As an important reminder, the Garden of Eden yet cursed was not of the same context or characteristics as Heaven eternal.

Unless it is radically presumed the first humans as gods, then plainly the first humans were quite limited in having not divine characteristics; omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence. To say more plainly, the first Edenic humans were restricted to occupying one point in space (x,y,z) at any given moment, just as all subsequent and modern humans. Thus time (t) is an unavoidable factor for those possessing not the omnipresent ability to simultaneously occupy each and every space (x,y,z) and time (t) past, present and future,  throughout the universe(s).

The following will probably be included (in the bonus section) upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

CANTO XXVI - O Violence, The Devil

Socialism is the expression of the principle of violence
crying from the workers' soul, just as Imperialism is the
principle of violence speaking from the soul of the official
and the soldier.

Ludwig von Mises (economist/philosopher, 1881-1973)
Socialism: An Economic/Sociological Analysis (book, 1922)

(every ism save one)
O violence, the devil, liberty's archest of rivals
Rendering impractical economies' survival
Hence pocket pilfered prior to coin chronicled

(neo-liberalism)
Alas, fated convergence of presumptive modes
Impishly so, atop humanity's pole mid crossroads
Hedged high by erratic laws per immoral codes

(neo-conservatism)
Arrogant the ways and pompous the means
Such causalities by perpetuation of poli-schemes
Fitly, citizenry drugged by promulgation of these

(centralism)
Praising polities' policies upon raising reveries
Revering the military's compounded complexities
Ah, vexes in societies by hexes in philosophies

(classical liberalism)
Observe the oracles written in stones hewed
Ascribed by tread of foot, sandal, boot and shoe
Mused by peace mid liberty, man's fire and fuse

CANTO XXV - Das Naturgesetz

There are for man only two principles available for a
mental grasp of reality, namely, those of teleology and
causality. What cannot be brought under either of these
categories is absolutely hidden to the human mind...for
the human mind there is no third way available.

Ludwig von Mises (economist/philosopher, 1881-1973)
Human Action: A Treatise on Economics (book, 1940/1949)

Thence by postulate, else making the most if it
Whether by a carnal flicker or an eternal flame
Either passion, neither a game, therefore fanned
Masterly planned by Job's potter and avid hands
Rather, well gotten by latent land per human task
To ends, consummate lasts of immaculate firsts
Amid, mortally cursed by terse fits or prolix trips
So to sip thy own trodden wine, or sup and dine
At tables not thine, aligned to all utopias unkind

(from Prolix Trips)
By the prick acute of flesh
By sting of eyes due to rains afresh
By love’s stain on tender heart
By naked soul hankering the parts

If love or labor seem as is, or `tis predestined
Fore and aft arrested mortality per humanity
As attested since antiquity, or no less inferior
Each act posterior, infested by acts anterior
Thus loveliest causality and loftiest divinity
Affirming adroit churning of Das Naturgesetz
Such natural law implicit, insistent, consistent
And within, each praxeological choice tendered
Rendered as hindered by subsequent effects
Consequent benefits or unavoidable detriments

CANTO XXIV - Dark Wombs to Marked Tombs

What liberalism takes from the church with one hand it gives
back again with the other. Even religious zealots must
concede that liberalism takes nothing from  faith of what
belongs to its proper sphere.

Ludwig von Mises (economist/philosopher, 1881-1973)
Liberalism: In The Classical Tradition (book, 1927/1962)

“Ye shall be free”, as John once wrote
“Indeed!”, by rote or not, smitten to note
By spirit some sought
Or fraught and penned by others’ credit
The divinity or controversy
It matters a few per history’s long queue
For inclinations of patricians
Are oft subjugation by odd legislation
Written thence driven
According to bodies politic and/or cleric
Desperate to solicit the despots
Supposing as their assistants
Either as beneficent to others' gambit
Cryptic and respective as both maleficent
Bothering by pother the individual prerogative
O how pompously abrogative
Upon personal sovereignty and liberality
So conducive to spoofing
For loyalty toward an aloof centrality
Rather, free he and she are, fain the twain
Sprung from dark wombs
“Indeed!” toward marked tombs
Birthed from maternal girths
Till death’s mirthless firths
Each abiding by inherent inequalities
Yet deriving the equality
To singly pursue without the usual ruse
Beneath the legal purviews
Ergo the Austrian’s praxeological views
Rendering government to minimalism
While hindering every ism
Save one logical optimism
Hence tendering classical liberalism
Liken prerequisite currency, minus levy
Thus peace’s likely possibilities

CANTO XXIII - Individualismo

And it is possible for each individual to prosper in the pursuit
of his ends only in a society propitious for their attainment.

Ludwig von Mises (economist/philosopher, 1881-1973)
Liberalism: In The Classical Tradition (book, 1927/1962)

O without Caesar’s censors, monitors, or auditors
Nor the privacies scored in polities’ goddamn record
Hence without swords or scorns, solely to accord
The individual latitudes for all perpetual vicissitudes

(según el individualista)
As lord and seer of his dominion solely particular
Or unshorn privateer on his vessel cordially to barter
So sordid or cohered in his asylum surreally to harbor

O the fettering effects of frustrated liberties
To feast or fuck or fight or muck per inner frenzies
Yet for the gallants deliberate a few, their might
To combine reason as means and passion as ends

(y así que la consumación)
Thus to judge, then to tend within at interval bends
Peace as her choice, making moist propensity’s thighs
Rising volition’s sighs and breasts to freedom’s crest

CANTO XXII - Obelisk to Sapience ~

The entire sum of goods at an economizing individual’s
command for the satisfaction of his needs, we call his
property. His property is not, however, an arbitrarily
combined quantity of goods, but a direct reflection of his
needs, an integrated whole, no essential part of which can be
diminished or increased without affecting realization of the
end it serves.

Carl Menger (economist, 1840-1921)
Principles of Economics (book, 1871)

O the facility of the freedom-frame of liberty
Yet its intensity by serenity per natural rigidity
Due to causality unavoidable, thence empirical
Self-evidently logical, an obelisk to sapience
Risking by valiance for shifts of paradigms
Shattering myths and rhymes, popular chants
Bolstered by modular cants and rants ascribed
Prescribing utopias dreamt due to phobias’ frets
Consequently, the equaling of innate inequalities
By the un-equaling of opportunities per skin
Either her or him, lines thin amid those meager
Or supposed leisure, yet as tines, fines measured
Begin and end, demarcating then delineating
Ample for some, or mere sample, ever a ransom
Random assessments for diadems and vestments
Headbands and testaments for swirling whirls
Of boys and girls adorned, unfurled per uniform
As propaganda posters, or as boasters to foster
Contrary to the luster tenacious of logic’s worth
Lodged at birth within inner berth, so to surge
On verge, smitten between rewritten volumes
Verses solemn while stanzas meander along
Traversing the familiar exploratory planes
Deliberating gains by mysteries and discoveries
The toss and mix of axiom, theory, and myth
Until all ink persists on the final vernacular page
Where the mind ascends above the ecstasy
And the warm soul enraptures beyond the lucidity
O the human faction’s consequential action
Per daily ardent coition of reason and passion
An integrated whole, by hands of mind and soul

CANTO XXI - Liken Knees Deep in Dung

Human progress has no tendency to cast it (causality) in
doubt, but rather the effect of confirming it and of always
further widening knowledge of the scope of its validity. Its
continued and growing recognition is therefore closely
linked to human progress.

Carl Menger (economist, 1840-1921)
Principles of Economics (book, 1871)

Ah the poetries, prophecies, then philosophies
Per mod-pops; the slicks, tricks, and damn pricks
Sketching sticks as arrays or arcane concaves
While conjured incongruities parade in lockstep
On boards of white for hordes driven to fright
Suited whores given to rifle rights and privacies
Mass purlieus seated fitly in neat little publicities
Donned in fake stoles, some as snakes and moles
In tall grass and black holes, coaxed and hexed
Thus hoaxed and vexed in rhetorical schemes
Cloaked in dreams, screened by particulars
Per manipulators of regulators, administrators
And dictators, most pompous host of potentates
With mandates presumed by democracy’s mobs
Theocracy robs as well per bed jointly shared
Along the whores, so the affairs centrally scored
More and more, as empowered desires conspire
Greed, indeed, though, need not to heed, if freed
Of arbitrary and thieved legality and subsidy
The taking of property, liberty, and dignity by life
A knife intentional, interventionism’s fife willful
Hence federalism’s pledge and canticle fanatical
Rehearsed by the lilting notes and tilting rotes
On subjugated lips, no guilt to sip, no bitter cup
No goddamn hiccup, no fuckin’ stutter in step
So to mutter or slip the tongue under breath
Liken knees deep in dung by its jester’s un-death

CANTO XX - Fitted and Fixed as Iron and Steel

All things are subject to the law of cause and effect. This great
principle knows no exception, and we would search in vain in the
realm of experience for an example to the contrary.

Carl Menger (economist, 1840-1921)
Principles of Economics (book, 1871)

O the rough stones in depth’s nook and niche
Bereft not in rifts, nor wept by the shifts of most
Keen betwixt coasts, between banks and shores
Some along dampened shoals, in moistened folds
Wallowing, nay, furrowing in lucid shallows
Where axioms be followed, if truth be caught
Coddled by thought, thence modeled or not
Yet fitted and fixed as iron and steel as when
From zephyr to vapor until precipitating labor
Arranging macrocosms of hanging microcosms
With ganging rostrums of starters then barters
Martyrs of art as well, courtiers of mart and still
As Pheidippides, Sisyphus’ infinite acclivities
In turn, activities selective by nativities pensive
Continuances of this over that, in lieu of lack
Abeyances of that rather this, bliss, or to desist
To insist hues mellow above indigo or yellow
Each by one’s candor, not politicos’ standards
So imposition’s complexity mostly supposed
Ere to liberation’s simplicity rarely proposed

MY ALLEGIANCE - The Abandoned Project / Canto XIX

Most likely to be published sometime in latter 2017 or early 2018, my 10th book currently entitled; 100 Proems & Poems on the HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included (in the bonus section) upon further editing, and front cover below merely a working version....

CANTO XIX - Sweat Warm, Hands Worn

Property and property relations do not exist apart from families
and kinship relations.

Hans-Hermann Hoppe (economist/philosopher/professor)
Democracy: The God That Failed (book, 2001)

Property the purpose, or as it often seems
By erratic torn seams by enabled greed
Rather, the colloquial seeds, in custodial main
Towards common sustenance maintained

Ah, the human insistence to ameliorate
Withal, persistence to innovate, thus alleviate
To mediate and decide, to delegate and divide
By selection in mind, production so eyed

Behold, naked soul, barren born art thou
Sweat warm on brow, hands worn by plow
Effort and labor; catalytic factors concurred
Always impolitic and possession averred

The living residual as well the sieving rule
Prone to own, to loan, sell or pouch to pool
Else, all surely a ruse, arbitrarily excused
Yet thievery legally cued as polity's dues

Simply bending, branch in zephyr so flaps
Lapsing and descending, to ground as scrap
Merely unowned, as a mortal lifts then hones
Lathes and craves, into cane, tool or home

Invested so claim, infused consequentially
A priori, as well empirically, ever so causally
Or so diligently, duly the praxeological reason
Not weakened yet tactile, as passion's beacon

(prior)... Families, authority, communities, and social ranks
are the empirical-sociological concretization of the abstract
philosophical-praxeological categories and concepts of property,
production, exchange, and contract.

CANTO XVIII - Shell Game

The more paper laws have been produced, the more legal
uncertainty and moral hazard has been created, and
lawlessness has displaced law and order.

Hans-Hermann Hoppe (economist/philosopher/professor)
From Aristocracy to Monarchy to Democracy (lecture, 2014)

Ah the perpetual, at last central, the lawmaking
Richly the taking, alas polemical, fitly degrading

Upon tyrannic seeds `tween democratic creeds
Limitless o'er boundless, greed deemed as need

Arbitrary authority by majority's covetousness
Righteousness oft splashed on the polity's finesse

Divinely or morally enamored, risen by clamor
Illustriously driven, per the glamorous stammer

Forthwith indiscriminately, the myths' disarray
Aforesaid predictably, Causality's steady dray

So “Nay!”, so goes, the same presumed-sayers
Utopian grandstand-ers, planners and philanders

They mislead, “oh say can you see” mid flight
Hind their shell game's height, bust and plight

CANTO XVII - The Silver Rule

Most of these difficulties are avoided by the Golden Rule in
its negative form (which also appears to be historically much
older): "Do not do unto others," as Confucius put it, "what
you would not wish others to do unto you." This is certainly
a good practical rule of thumb both in ethics and in law. Its
political utility is well explained...

Henry Hazlitt (economic journalist, 1894-1993)
The Foundations of Morality (book, 1964)

Silver rules across brassy backs of silvery chairs
Else, blacken straps to backs, forcing to swear
While privacy tears by public rape led by their kings
Then liberty's ethic cape tossed like a leprous thing
By the rules golden, beholden by imposing others
Presupposing as tho' our fuckin' omni-mothers
Motioning, seconding, by right hand, then by left
Lunging ahead, funding instead, by legal theft
Marching broadly, longingly, beyond all borders
Droning by mortars upon bairns per distant orders
While astounding yarns of resounding patriotism
Muscles the octo-arms of superfluous nationalism
O the hustled then rustled, blame citizenry sublime
Minds refined, mass aligned by the 'entitled' lines
Firstly unread, secondly misled, thirdly breastfed
Fourthly forced fed by shreds of subsidized bread
Thus fifth, the paradigm shift, towards eventual drift
More so, rift betwixt elites' gifts and riffraff's thrift
For now, to come, and since initially succumbed
“Thou eat this, drink not that, worship in plumb
Else be hung, or strung under uniformity’s stones”
Rather, as per W. Rogers,  individuals singly honed
For if coerced by law and force, pro Golden Rule
Equally to wit, to commit to err, con Silver Rule

The purpose of law, and the chief function of the state, should
be to maximize liberty and to minimize coercion... Yet though
liberty is beyond doubt an end-in-itself, it is also of the highest
value, to repeat, as a means to most of our other ends. We can
pursue not only our economic but our intellectual and spiritual
goals only if we are free to do so.

The Foundations of Morality (book, 1964)

CANTO XVI - Man's Trinity of Ills

But when fascism (or some form of totalitarianism) comes it will
not be in the form of an anti-American movement... It will appear
rather in the luminous robes of flaming patriotism; it will
take some genuinely indigenous shape and color, and it will
spread only because its leaders, who are not yet visible, will know
how to locate the great springs of public opinion and desire
and the streams of thought that flow from them and will know
how to attract to their banners leaders who can command
the support of the controlling minorities in American public life.

John T. Flynn (journalist, 1882-1964)
As We Go Marching (book, 1944)

Wasting in the lost then the haste
The emotional cost as well the paste
In sorrow’s adhesion, lesions by absence
Ergo the abstinence persuasive
Stained by the strain invasive
Ambling fain in wallows
Stumbling by pain in hollows
Hallowed the poet’s metaphors
The idyllic whores in stanzas
Purchased allegories in cadenzas
As drunken sermons in yards
Hence scars by homilies oddly
On sod hotly, beasts trod curtly
Skirting the rare acumens
Averting to wrench and writhe in dens
Flirting then to contend
Vying again goddamn imperial rights
The feast, the fuck, and the fight
A trinity of ills per Man’s feral fright
While night crashes upon day
Trashing the inherent caches
Of codes, charges, and charters
Preexisting every conception
Liken unavoidable contraptions
Withal logical conclusions
Sorted rounds sound and profound
Confounding the utopian kinds
With totalitarianism sublime
Astounding the empirical minds
With illogical tunes and rhymes
Seeing the effects natural, the probable
Being the causes usual, the lamentable

CANTO XV - Ineradicable Thistles

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary
safety, deserve neither liberty or safety... Where liberty dwells,
there is my country.

Benjamin Franklin (entrepreneur/politician, 1706-1790)

Relentless scratches for seven year itches
Barely remedy’s matches
For violence instantly soothes the hanker
The swanker for bloody rule
The perceived comeuppance for others
While hoarding grace selfishly
Ah the chafed face from polity’s mask
The rash from soliloquy’s guise
Lies begin and end within
Moldering, abating narcissistic roots
Truths begin then endlessly batten
Burgeoning as ineradicable thistles
Yet `tween such raptures the whistles
Missiles of omnivorous coteries
Enthralling, sequestering
And preempting bards and troubadours
Logicians and entrepreneurs too
Abjuring independence for dependence
Forswearing liberty for safety
The fundamentals for eventual violence

CANTO XIV - Every Passion Natural

There is a Passion natural to the Mind of man, especially
a free Man, which renders him impatient of Restraint.

George Mason (statesman, 1725-1792)

Betwixt the libidinous fixes, within the loveliest mixes
Gone are vulgar tricks, between the common hexes
Anon the rexes in Self arrested, upon the pelf attested
For Liberty, the mean alone, hence the seed so thrown
For Peace indeed, the human garden, where two bleed
Accordingly to breathe then sigh, thus to covet the locus
To summit their focus, against the pricks and stings
Mid the matinee flings until twilight warbles on wings
Singing low in voluptuous poems and euphonious moans
Kin to lovers of life `low the satin as paramours in strife
Flirts terse with hurts cursed by curt pangs and pains
O the romantic stains on lassies' skirts and lasses' shirts
The blundering erratum, as well the thundering stratum
Consequently, the mortal macadam, befittingly traveled
Marveled or caviled, to fix in part, then err in fraught
Else not at all, grand and small, excessive propensities
And passive activities, per every passion natural rightly
Oft a ménage à trois unsightly upon STATEly meddling

CANTO XIII - Songs of Troubadours

The true danger is when liberty is nibbled away, for expedients
 and by parts.

Edmund Burke (Irish statesman, 1729-1797)

She junctions all the extremities of existence
Between the subjugation and emancipation
Limbs and indexes unfolding into the azures
Extending far beyond the equinoctial circle
Layering of firmaments on empyreal welkins
Where emotions overwhelmingly swell wide
Throughout the celestial expanse and liberties
The freedoms innately buried in an eternal foe
Manifested in verses and songs of troubadours
As each erotic flourishes by an artist’s brush
And every mark by a composer’s constitution
Strides along the Grecian athlete’s virtuosity
Challenging language, thought, and lucidity
With each strain of sinew, fortitude, and lust
Coveting that which is connaturally possessed
While lionizing the same among community
Mutual repute and adoration with fervid logic
Yet love is often infinitely yonder the intellect
When her flesh avidly castigates with his flesh
As tender shoots germinate from the furrows

CANTO XII - Nothing to Hide

What, then, is legislation? It is an assumption by one man,
or body of men, of absolute, irresponsible dominion over all
other men... It is the assumption by one man, or body of men,
of a right to subject all other men to their will and their
service. It is the assumption... to abolish outright all the natural
rights, all the natural liberty of all other men...

Lysander Spooner (philosopher, 1808-1887)
Natural Law or The Science of Justice (treatise, 1882)

“We have nothing to hide”, the pious cried as righteous
As privacy slips and slides agreeably into view vulnerably
Eyed by few or more voyeurs, as shrewd muse grandeur
Later to skew, abuse, then conjure ruse or goddamn rot
Yet it matters not the legal contents or regal intents
Their baneful events always following, often allowing
Legislated excesses morphing to escalated accesses
O the messes then stresses on individuality and economy
Such were deeds inherently unseen, indeed was freed
Yea, gratis no longer, the popular status now pondered
While all is laundered and dyed, hung out to dry as hides
Misted and mystified, as everyone wonder the cost
By the lost, freedom’s penetralia like treason’s genitalia
Kindled in pots per tyrannical rexes’ whimsical hexes
Riddled in knots, by harassing vexes, the belly libertine
Flamboyances saccharine and hindrances serpentine
Cast on stage, casqued on written page, per smitten rage
In political frays, so to ridicule the logical dismays
From Taoists and Greeks, then Rothbardian critiques
De la Escuela de Salamanca por la teoría de la cantidad
Del dinero, por supuesto la felicidad when heads are fed
So minds are led not by mythology, methodology instead
More Austrian ideology requisite, by praxeology resident
In each word, verse, and cadence, the sashays of essays
To phase and face whatever case, shifting the paradigms
Rifting by rhymes per Bastiat’s harmonies sublime
Penned by Carl, Eugen, then Ludwig’s penchants keen
Thus detriments foreseen, while government’s fiends
Careen unseen by wire, legal mire or by carbines to fire
By choirs helmeted and uniformed (yet uninformed
Of principles natural), intruding homes once bacchanal
Due to property personal (ergo sovereignty individual)
Rather, the surreptitious bureaucrat now lathers and lies
Withal ladies fair as bathers, betwixt satin and thighs
Perusing to align everyone’s sex to parliamentarian text
Consign to annex each fuckin’ act to politicians’ volition

Take away the right to say "fuck" and you take away the right
to say "fuck the government."

Lenny Bruce (1926-1966)

CANTO XI - Not by Smith’s Hand Hidden

It is easy to conceive that, according to the power of the
legislator, it destroys for its own profit, and in different degrees
amongst the rest of the community, personal independence
by slavery, liberty by oppression, and property by plunder.

Claude Frédéric Bastiat (economist, 1801-1850)
The Bastiat Collection (book)

White sparks spangle by the colliding wrangles
Iron and steel, hot or not, melded to feel as one
Welded till done, thus to congeal in the molted cum
Twain honed and plumbed, summed by wrench and bolt
By speculative blokes then operative folks so fitly
Ergo backers and workers, tacking, perking accordingly
Per strings of brainstorms of new things newfangled
Barring stinging rainstorms, impinging free fandangos
With perplexities political by pompous politicos
Thus covered pipe-dreams per their overripe schemes
Exacting ataxias by effectuating propagandas
Wherever each memoranda, as a clever literary lever
Triggering the riggings of economy’s ill summary
Due to furtive ciphers convening `low capitol dome
Spoiling and plundering the capital in homes
Foiling and encumbering goods and labor to roam
Hence the isms by legal protection are the schisms
Besetting asunder the economic harmonies
O the wonder synergistic by interests individualistic
Not by Smith’s hand hidden, rather, self-driven
Given the sovereign preferences of each, to teach
Then guide the entrepreneurial ride, rise, and fall

CANTO X - The Heart and Art of Harmony

If we now proceed to consider the immediate interest of the consumer,
we shall find that it is in perfect harmony with the general interest,
with all that the welfare of society calls for.

Claude Frédéric Bastiat (economist, 1801-1850)
The Bastiat Collection (book)

Noting and toting the heart and art of cogency
Solely by palpability and clarity of actuality
As per discerning fidelity of empirical observing
Dreaming, fantasizing, often desiring
Predetermining, preferring, usually realizing
Frolicking in the mounting, appearing as flaunting
Hence consummation fervid and procreation avid
Invention per innovation by conjuration mid liberation
Intangible abstractions shifting to contraptions
Stoic imagination, creative duration, projective ambition
Where passion and reason fornicate so to formulate
As revelry and civility intercourses each day
To saunter, amble, and sway the less-traveled way
Passion singly inflates primitive beasts to fight or fuck
Reason similarly elates hortative dandies in the muck
Stuck not in ruts upon the twain linked in brains
Liken workmen’s hoists and chains, or fain assemblies
Aligned, thus inline from self-interest’s comatose seed
Or the unsubsidized and grandiose greed
Metamorphosing to be, voluptuously free
Noting and toting the heart and art of harmony
By individuals’ autarchies in context vexed not
Via critics’ mix hexed and fraught of intercessions
Of legal aggressions serving venal concessions
Upon the plates garnished for the state’s paramours

CANTO IX - Inhumation of Logic

No legal plunder; this is the principle of justice, peace, order,
stability, harmony and logic.

Claude Frédéric Bastiat (economist, 1801-1850)
The Bastiat Collection (book)

Antiquities long discommoded the modernity
Vacillating between mysteries or discoveries
As contemporaries’ provenience for agitation
Wrestling the truth of obvious sagaciousness
Lurking in the twilight of oblivious histories
The dawn of consciousness, a venal genesis
A vacuous eternal to a surfeited amaranthine
Lovers languishingly pine under the umbrella
And withstand the presumptuous aggressors
Once nature’s bowels were cruel and blessed
Burrowing ache within every benevolent cure
Quenching thirst from dearth’s supple breasts
Satiating hunger from death’s craving trenches
When passion contracted and reason protracted
Medially time’s immemorial tumultuous loins
Alas liberty sprung, behold liberty conjectured
Man’s covetousness of such inherent character
Her vines effectuated the inhumation of logic
