12th Book on Ability to Reason, Right to Consent; Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 257

Most likely to be published later this summer of 2022, my 12th book entitled appropriately; Propositions, Problems & Poems on the Peculiar Human ABILITY to REASON, Singular Human RIGHT to CONSENT & Other Neglected Matters. The following will probably be included upon further editing, and front cover a slightly modified yet appropriate version of the 10th and 11th books...

~ Of Propositions and Problems ~

Of propositions and problems there are—to comprehend the matter in outline—three divisions; for some are ethical propositions, some are on natural science, while some are logical.

Aristotle (384-322 BC), Organon / Topica, Book I, Chapter 14

Interpolated among many comments private or public as well the latest two books and this, are repetitive usages of similar Aristotelian-esque sequences of adverbs; Observably (notably, determinably, etc), Logically thus Consistently, Ethically and/or Sustainably. This is the nature of consciousness, reason therefore discovery, evolvement towards all things scientific, economic, social, psychological, personal, moral and more, or to simply put, the proper discovery of all things.

Contrary to discovery thus evolvement would be latency then devolvement per opposite adverbs as Imaginably or Fantastically, Randomly or Arbitrarily, Preferentially, Covetously, Presumptuously and/or Arrogantly, towards of course all things unscientific, noneconomic, nonsocial, pathological, impersonal, immoral and more.

To reverse engineer (if you will) regarding anything considered ethical or as ethic, consistency would be paramount to observe then determine, else something other than ethical, that is to say, non-ethical perhaps unethical. To reverse engineer further per consistency as paramount, then preceding would be logical determination upon observation by deducing to particulars, inducing to universals, else and once again something other than ethical, that is to say, non-ethical perhaps unethical.

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 256

~ Capacity, Ability, Proximity, Longevity / 1st Reprise ~

Humanity is endlessly grasping at reality by incrementally increasing his/her actuality of it per the ever-present potentiality if/when choosing to do so. Such perception amid ever-present potentiality, actuality increases incrementally upon each internal affirmation by personal experience/knowledge, combined with every external affirmation by others' personal experience/knowledge.

The aforesaid as such even frustrated, oft exasperated per humanity’s individually limited capacity, ability, limited, longevity, and if worsened by possessing not the specie’s sole advantage for survival, the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, then they as vulnerably featherless, furless, clawless, fangless as well weaker and slower, bipedal omnivores would instinctively, desperately resort to inefficient thus insufficient gathering, foraging, grazing then scavenging upon prior failed hunts per lack of reasoning skills to imagine then construct spears, clubs, slings, bows and arrows. In pack-like and herd-esque groups, these wretched non-reasoning humans would survive for a time, although eventually preying on each other, invariably becoming extinct (per Proem & Poem No. 22).

The awareness of others’ presumption and arrogance significantly heightens amid unwanted encountering intervention, imposition, intrusion, invasion, upon grasping the full extent of humanity’s lot and state. Thereby covetousness is more apparent as the sole driver of this sort of presumption and arrogance, hence any person unworthy to exercise authoritatively over another without mutual consent.

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 255

~ Capacity, Ability, Proximity, Longevity ~

Self-interest in itself is not virtue nor vice, not accuracy nor error, not moderation nor excess, not success nor failure, not strength nor frailty, not morality nor malice, rather innate, connatural as well amoral even inescapable state, characteristic, posture of the specie humanity. To use the common vernacular; it is what it is, nonstop thus full-stop. The ethical dilemma arises immediately upon any intervention, imposition, intrusion of anyone’s self-interest.

It would be erroneous to equate self-interest to instinct, for the former investigates, determines, prioritizes, concludes then pursues, inseparably engaging the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, inseparably utilizing the individual’s knowledge direct (experience) and indirect (education) as well propensity, prerogative, preference, purpose, etc., inseparably exercising the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters (i.e. concluding then pursuing). Self-interest therefore intrinsic per the constant state of want, limitations upon the specie humanity as follows…

1. Limited Capacity (e * 1 = finite energy).

2. Limited Ability (s * 1 = finite skills).

3. Limited Proximity (x * 1, y * 1, z *1 = finite space).

4. Limited Longevity (t * 1 = finite time).

To state alternatively, synonymously; non-omnipresent, non-omniscient thus non-omnipotent, else the specie (if you will) is supra-humanity (weak argument) or divinity. Self-interest therefore extrinsic per the constant state without want, non-limitations upon the specie supra-humanity or divinity as follows…

1. Unlimited Capacity (e * ∞ = infinite energy).

2. Unlimited Ability (s * ∞ = infinite skills).

3. Unlimited Proximity (x * ∞, y * ∞, z * ∞ = infinite space).

4. Unlimited Longevity (t * ∞ = infinite time).

To state alternatively, synonymously; omnipresent, omniscient thus omnipotent, else the specie is non-supra-humanity or non-divinity.

With that said… Self-Interest is as flawed as it is inherent to the specie human, always prone to error and excess per human propensity philosophically or per human sin theologically, therefore ceaselessly susceptible to frustration thus exasperation thereupon the constant presence of or constant possibility for covetousness then presumption, arrogance, violation (if to disrespect and disregard others' prerogatives and preferences), however, potentially interrupted hence potentially subjugated at any moment if chosen by the Human Ability to Reason. Theologically, this is the common grace breathed into the nostrils of every man and woman (oppose to particular grace, another and different matter respectively left to theologians more qualified).

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 249

~ The Business of Science ~

It is to be remembered that it is the business of science not to create laws, but to discover them.

George Boole (1815-1864)

Yet contrary to the obvious, 21^st century minds proceed to imagine, invent, innovate any-ocracy, any-ism even any-ology as though equaling even superseding nature’s laws. And so goes the declination into the intellectual abyss, dismissing logic the science of sciences, as well discarding consistency the determination of the aforesaid, while covetously desiring the convenience and expedience, hence covetously presuming the coercive intervention, imposition, intrusion upon others by force governmental or otherwise, of course towards immediate satiation.

Boole elaborated further in his 1854 book An Investigation of The Laws of Thought.

We do not originate the constitution of our own minds, greatly as it may be in our power to modify their character. And as the laws of the human intellect do not depend upon our will, so the forms of the science, of which they constitute the basis, are in all essential regards independent of individual choice.

Expectantly, not as the specie consciously reasonable in the Maker’s image, after the Creator’s likeness (see Proem & Poem No. 191), rather as species unconsciously instinctive liken beasts in fields, humanity descends to inhumanity, existing solely for the feast, fuck and fight, hence insisting covetously, persisting wantonly and subsisting presumptuously, arrogantly, violently.

After an evening of studying and writing, partaking in my preferred means to midnight-dine...

After an evening of studying and writing, partaking in my preferred means to midnight-dine; assortment of nuts/raisins with my newly elected favorite gin, while listening to Pandora's Super Fly Radio thus currently playing the 1972 kickass tune Freddie's Dead by Curtis fuckin' Mayfield (1942-1999). It is claimed he have said...

"Reading the script (Super Fly), I started feeling very deeply bad for Freddie. Between his friends, his partners, and his woman, he was catching a hard time. 'Freddie's Dead' came to me immediately."

Later this year the 3rd of the trilogy will be completed then published. Three books per the necessary respect and regard for the One Right, One Morality, One Ethic...

How do I know the aforesaid one right, one morality, one ethic is unquestionably accurate? By simple observation of YOUR actions, YOUR activities and all others' since the human specie first reasoned upon evolution versus creation (either theoretical posture inconsequential). I challenge you to consider, deliberate, dispute then reject the trilogy's propositions and arguments, and if so explain your rejection as NOT covetousness, presumption and arrogance.

PROPOSITION, PROBLEM & POEM No. 248

~ Popular Acceptance or Rejection ~

How naïve it is to suppose one's basic truths rightly chosen if one starts with a proposition which is popularly accepted... For popular acceptance or rejection is no criterion of a basic truth.

Aristotle (384-322 BC)

The text of course is taken from Posterior Analytics of Aristotle’s larger work Organon. Prior the philosopher/logician emphasized the object of pure scientific knowledge must be demonstrative knowledge, obviously contrary to one’s preference or presumption, contrarily more so to popular acceptance or rejection, consequently fashionable notion, trendy whim, common sentiment, inclinable emotion and political pursuits upon determinations monarchic, oligarchic, democratic and more.

Government’s polities, legalities even constitutionalities are then in direct opposition of any logical methodology therefore any ethical ideology. Is such an indictment convenient hyperbole? To consider further, the following reprise is necessary.

Logically defined (see Proem & Poem No. 122), Politics is the pursuit to influence and/or control political power, legal force, that is to say, the power thus force to manipulate and confiscate others' behavior and resource without their consent. The method to determine the use of power or force by democracy, oligarchy or tyranny matters not. The method to implement the use of power or force by communism, fascism or cronyism and their popular pacifier socialism matters not. For all are clashes between political prerogatives versus personal preferences, legal force versus human will, government taking liberties plural versus individuals exercising liberty singular.

If the Singular Human Right to Consent or Dissent on all matters, as manifested by the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason, is observably logical, consistent thus ethical as argued in this and previous two books, then anything contrary would be observably illogical, inconsistent thus unethical. So it follows, if Politics require the coercion of dissenters as proposed, supported then imposed by consenters, then self-evident the contrast and conflict between the two therefore both cannot be observably logical, consistent thus ethical. To reverse engineer, what is observably logical, consistent thus ethical cannot be two contrasting and conflicting considerations at the same time else grossly breached the laws of logic.

William Stanley Jevons (1835-1882) in his book Elementary Lessons in Logic Deductive and Inductive published in 1870 (see Proposition, Problem & Poem No. 225)…

These laws describe the very simplest truths, in which all people must agree, and which at the same time apply to all notions which we can conceive. It is impossible to think correctly and avoid evident self-contradiction unless we observe what are called the Three Primary Laws of Thought, which may be stated as follows:

1. The Law of Identity. Whatever is, is.

2. The Law of Contradiction. Nothing can both be and not be.

3. The Law of Excluded Middle. Everything must either be or not be.

Though these laws when thus stated may seem absurdly obvious...I have found that students are seldom able to see at first their full meaning and importance.

Additionally, it is Ethics not Politics that desires freedom for oneself and all others thus a return to individual responsibility and risk (again, see Proem & Poem No. 122). It is Ethics not Politics that seeks liberation from government's shackles and chains hung heavy upon everyone's person, preference, possession and property. And it is Ethics not Politics that insists the regard for one's own Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent on all matters, inseparably demands the respect for one's own Peculiar Human Ability to Reason on all matters. Politics is contrary even hostile to all such things.
