A few quotes by Martin Luther King Jr (1929-1968), followed by my notes...

Note:
This country has returned to the use of hate, even when opposing hate, as well violence, for expediency's sake of course, as violence so is inescapably charisteristic.

"The time is always right to do what is right."

Note:
And there lies the lack, for most do not act per what "is" right, rather what "feels" right or merely what is whimsically "preferrable", often, what is coveteously "desirable".


"Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal... If you will read Mein Kampf closely enough, you will discover that Hitler contended that everything he did in Germany was for peace. And the leaders of the world today talk eloquently about peace. Note:
Is it not interesting how Hitler's ambitions for peace were likened to President Johnson's objective(s) during the Vietnam War. Could the war efforts and goals of Presidents Bush and Obama be similarly compared. I think so, rather, I know so!

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Note:
Truly, I know of no other man who stood as courageous while nonviolent.
