HUMAN ABILITY to REASON, HUMAN RIGHT to CONSENT - Proem & Poem No. 34

PROEM & POEM No. 34 - To Reason Is Human / 4th Reprise

      As stated prior, humanity is not distinguished by the instinct to sense then react, a characteristic shared by all species, rather by the ever-present ability to reason then act. Though to emphasize what appears as de-emphasized, instinct is ever-present as well, along with the ever-present expression called emotion. Although, as potent both instinct and emotion are, it is only by human reason the individual is able to resist and insist in contrast to sense as well emote.

      To note however, an individual appearing unreasonable, irrational and/or emotional is always engaging the ability to reason equal to an individual appearing reasonable, rational and/or unemotional. In other words, the Peculiar Human Ability to Reason ever-present, inseparably the Singular Human Right to Consent or Not Consent ever-present, works toward choosing this over that in space and time, or that over this in the same or adjacent space yet subsequent time; in concert, influentially tangent or contrary to instinct ever-present, while emotion ever-present expresses simultaneously and/or responsively. Consequently, the ability to reason seemingly disengaged is merely the ability to reason preferring or choosing instinct’s impulses as well preferring or choosing contrary to others’ perceptions, regardless the cultural misuse of the word unreasonable. Logically, the words human and reasonable are quite synonymous, thus descriptively redundant when assigning the adjective reasonable to the noun human.

From twigs and sticks to rigs and bricks’ superiority
Yet the temporality, perpetually ergo “this o’er that”
“That o’er this” post hoc, so mocked by the kratocrat
